Duel
Duel
I wouldn't feel too bad revealing the end of a 50 year old film, but I'll hold off spoilers today.
Duel is a 1971 film, directed by Steven Spielberg. There's not much to the film, we see a man, who later turns out to be the protagonist, leaving their driveway and driving through their town and out into rural roads. We find out he's a salesman and he's got an important client to meet, and he's had a disagreement with his wife.
After overtaking a noisy, smelly lorry, he starts to be chased by the lorry, who dangerously overtakes him. He must've really annoyed this lorry driver, as the rest of the film revolves around being chased and ambushed by this lorry. The driver must've really been angry as he risks injury and damage to his lorry by bumping and ramming the salesman's car.
There wasn't much to the film, and there are a few close calls and a few times you think the salesman has evaded the danger.
